No. The grant programs are over.

Yes. Register drayage trucks in the port’s Internet-based Drayage Truck Registry (DTR), available now at https://pdtr.cleanairactionplan.org/.

If a new truck is purchased with Clean Trucks financial assistance, can that vehicle be driven for 10 years without a retrofit?

Yes.

Do 1994-2003 trucks, after retrofit, meet 2007 federal emission standards?
No. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has not verified any technology capable of meeting the 2007 standards.By 2012, the trucks retrofitted with currently available technology will need to be replaced with 2007-vompliant trucks, unless CARB verifies improved retrofits that meet 2007 standards.

When will 2004-2006 trucks need to be retrofitted or banned from working at the port?
They’ll have to meet 2007 standards by 2012 or they’ll be banned.

Yes. A $35 fee on all loaded twenty foot containers and a $70 fee on all loaded containers over twenty feet in length will continue to be charged to the Beneficial Cargo Owner if hauled by a Drayage Truck that does not meet the US EPA 2007 emissions standard. Please refer to the port Tariff No. 4 for details regarding the container fee and related exemptions.

What does enjoined mean?
Enjoined means a judge has issued an order not to do something. In this case the judge has ordered the Ports not to enforce certain provisions in the concession agreements until the case comes to trial.

Where can we apply for financial help to purchase or lease trucks?
We expect to launch on online, Internet-based financial aid system very soon. Those who own 1988 and older trucks should call 888-KLN-TRUX (888-556-8789) right away to ask about upcoming financial aid programs.

When will the final rules and agreements be available?
We expect to have detailed information on the entire program available by late July 2008.

What trucks are eligible for replacement as "frequent" and "semi-frequent" users?
Currently, the "frequent" and "semi-frequent" drivers are defined as making at least 3.5 trips per 7 day week to the Port. However, eligibility requirements may be modified in the future to ensure a sufficient number of trucks are replaced, though trucks with more trips to the Port will have priority.
